What To Look For In A Cat Tree For Bengals Cats?

Tunnels and Hiding Areas

Bengal cats need to feel safe, so make sure your tree has plenty of areas where they can hide, including tunnels, beds, and nooks. If you have more than one cat, you know how important it is for them to have their own private space away from each other. This helps reduce stress and anxiety from one cat to another.

Large Spaces & Climbing Areas

Bengal cats are very active, so they need lots of large spaces to run around and climb all over the place. The more your cat tree resembles a natural environment, with lots of trees, plants, branches, hiding areas, and different levels, the happier your Bengal will be.

Toys and Games

As mentioned earlier, Bengal cats are very active and playful. You’ll want to make sure your cat tree has lots of toys attached to different levels for them to play with. Also, most cat trees will have little nooks where they can hide food and treats, which is a great way for you to give them something extra special when it’s time for a reward.

Natural Materials

If you want a natural look, make sure your cat tree is made with natural materials like wood and sisal rope. If you really want to bring out the wild in your house, try using bamboo or hay for multiple scratching posts attached throughout different levels of the tree. These natural materials will also help keep you from having to worry about your cat’s sharp claws scratching doors and furniture.

So Now That You Know What To Look For…

These are my favorite cat trees that I’m sure you and your Bengal will absolutely love!

FurHaven’s most popular cat tree is the FurHaven Double Decker Playground. This product provides multiple platforms for cats to snuggle, scratch, and play on a sturdy base that easily accommodates large breeds.

The sisal wrapped posts are all at different heights providing your pet with an interesting variety of scratching surfaces while doubling as hiding spots or launch points when they need some exercise!

The included toy balls make this tower more interactive by adding sound effects but can be annoying if you’re not home because it looks like there aren’t any other toys around unless you look closely enough to see the other balls that are included.

Even though it’s made of cardboard, it is constructed well enough to be very durable. It can easily handle cats who are 10 pounds or larger and is especially good for multiple cat households!

Overall, my Bengals and I are very pleased with purchasing this FurHaven Double Decker Playground. I would highly recommend it for anyone with a Bengal cat and space for it.

Things We Like
  • Sisal wrapped scratch posts from top to bottom of each post.

  • Multiple cats perch on different levels.
Things We Don’t
  • Cats can knock over toy balls very easily.

I bought this tree for my two cats staying at my parent’s place while I am on holiday, lasting till the end of August. It was fairly easy to assemble, but it required 2 people because the main body is quite large and heavy. The rest of the tree went together fairly easily, though.

An extremely sturdy tree! I let both my cats simultaneously test it out, and they were attacking it from one side, hanging on the platforms and scratching at the posts. Showing no signs of trippiness or instability at all, yet I don’t think it would tip over if only one cat is playing with it. It’s heavy enough (39,6lbs) not to move around much.

The platforms are well made, very sturdy, and the posts have sisal ropes wrapped around them, making them perfect for scratching! My cats loved it! They were happy to find a new toy after I left, but now they happily play with the tree together. It is nice to see them play together instead of fighting over one toy.

The base is very wide and has a big opening for easy access to step inside the tree and clean it, or just to take care of your kitties 🙂 My parents mentioned that they found it fairly easy to climb up, even though my older cat fell asleep in it as soon as I left! He does not normally jump and climb around. He just likes to watch the world go by from a more high perspective. Yet, this tree is so nice that I think even my old lazy boy would enjoy it.

The only bad thing about the tree is that the platform closest to us had a manufacturing defect with glue marks on them, and you can see which part was glued together.

This cat tree would be perfect if the manufacturing defect wasn’t there. It is very sturdy and will look great in our living room! The cats love it, and we are happy to see them play together instead of fighting over one toy; which is an added bonus 🙂

Things We Like
  • Best cat condo ever.
  • Fairly easy to put together.
  • Food bowl is fantastic.
Things We Don’t
  • Have only two colors

I was excited to get this cat tree. My cat loved the box in which the product came as much as she loves lounging on her new kitty condo.

Seriously, every time I try to touch anything inside the box – she’s right there. This tree is sturdy and well-built.

I put it together in about half an hour with no help – even though the instructions were limited to diagrams only. There’s nothing that seems like it’s going to fall off or be unstable, which is hugely important because my cat likes to play rough (I think she chases her tail sometimes).

The entire thing is covered in plush fabric, including the bottom. The “platforms” are large enough for an average cat to fit its whole body inside.

Most cats will probably like the little house on top, but I think it’s more of an added bonus, so I was happy to see that they included extra plush fabric for stuffing it with.

The cubby holes are very roomy and offer plenty of space for your cat to play around in. It would be perfect if a hole or two for my cat to “tunnel” their way up and down.

This tree has great detail in the design, such as scratching poles on all sides, hammock-type straps for resting, fleece coverings over the scratching poles (for added comfort), and even a little crinkly ball inside of one of the cubby holes.

Overall, I would say that this is one of the best cat trees for Bengal cats out there. I would recommend it to anyone with an activity cat like a Bengal cat.

Things We Like
  • Sturdy and very functional.
  • Easy to assemble.
  • Amazing seller support
Things We Don’t
  • Too small for 3 cats

It is very easy to assemble, although I would recommend not assembling it all the way until you place it where you want it to be (just like how furniture works). Assembly took me about 30 minutes with all four kitties helping (one on each of the different levels). The package includes screws, and I had all the available tools (drill definitely helps speed things up, though on the upper levels).

On top of that, my cat loves sleeping in it. She immediately jumped onto it when we were done putting together and started scratching away. This cat tree is heavy for most parts. And it is sturdy, which is great if you have more than one cat.

I would highly recommend looking into this product for a cat tree/scratching post if you are in the market.

My cat is scratching it loads, but there’s no damage at all! I am very impressed.

She also seems to love sleeping in the round bed on top. She spends hours up there. She has never really liked being in enclosed spaces or being wrapped up, so this is a huge step.

I highly recommend this cat tree to any Bengal cat owner. It is very easy to assemble and is very sturdy. My cat loves it, and I know your cats will too.

Things We Like
  • Heavy.
  • No damage to scratching.
  • Very original cat tree.
  • Lots of toys.
Things We Don’t
  • Need drill to speed things up.
